This is actually quite funny... I've got the reverse problem. I bought
RH5.2 when it came out and couldn't use it because I had nothing but
problems with it and the AHA1542 modules. I could never even get to the
RPM selection with it, upgrade or install, so I had to always go back to
5.1 which worked like a champ. RedHat 6.0 and Mandrake 6.0 have given me
no problems at all with the AHA1542 modules, nor has Cassini. I've run it
on a P166MMX and a P2-350 (both genuine Intel). I've also get PCI NE2000
NICs on both machines and the exact same AHA1542 controller on both.
