Never had the privelege of working with a SCSI card, so i can't help
with that, but on the network card-
I've got an NE2000 ISA PnP card, too. I've got one hard drive & one
CD-ROM on one IDE cable. Once, I tried to move the CD-ROM to the
secondary cable, and it worked okay, but my network card could no longer
be seen! In Windows or Linux!
You might try moving hardware about. I'm not sure if my problem stems
from the motherboard, maybe a BIOS bug, or what, but as soon as I move the
CD back to the primary cable, it works again.
