Although it is not listed as being definetely a WinModem, the
DI5665 belongs to a family of Creative modems that is Rockwell HCF
based.
You can test this theory in Windows 95. Install the modem,
but make sure the driver is not put in. If Win95 can use it
as a "standard modem", then you are okay. If it needs a
special driver, then its a WinModem.
Judging from the data sheet that Creative puts out, it sure
looks like a WinModem to me.
For instance, the DI5601 has, in large, bold text, that it
is MSDOS compatible. This advertising text is not present in
the DI5665 unit. It only claims Windows compatibility. I
think you are stuck. Check it out at:
