I used the 905 on all machines I installed and never had problems,
except with old RedHat4. I really like this card !
For info have a look at ..
/proc/pci
/proc/interupts
it should help you find the problem or conflict.
the module should be listed in /etc/conf.modules like this
..
alias eth? 3c59x
..
I don't see why you should add io or irq options, since it is PCI ??
but, I guess you could always try by adding
..
options 3c59x io=0x??? irq=?
..
to your /etc/conf.modules .. but I never try that.
you can always load the module manually with insmod.
Another thing you could try is to remove the card, do a power cycle on
the machine (on/off). then put the card in another PCI slot, if possible
remove any other pci card. Sound funny, but I remember having problem on
a 486 with pci running windoze .. and moving the card did the trick,
again this was on a Win box.
