I am trying to load Linux-Mandrake 6.0 on an old P200 server. When I try to
boot from CD-ROM, I get the following error:
Trying to Boot From ATAPI CD-ROM: Failure...
LI
just like that, including the "LI" (part of LILO, I'm assuming). I thought at
first this was due to a bad CD-ROM, but after trying 2 more CD-ROMs with the
same result, incuding 1 that I knew worked from another computer, I've concluded
that the CD-ROM is fine. And I know it's not a bad CD because I've used it
several times to load Linux onto other computers.
Any ideas what could be causing this and how I can fix it?
