[expert] rpm installations

I was wondering - is there a way of inserting a RPM CD (Like the install
CD) and loading up a RPM installer and when you select install new RPM's
only have it display what's not on the system already? Caldera OpenLinux
did that but I seem to get a listing of everything on the CD's witn
Mandrake 6.0, installed or not. Any ideas?
