I'm getting confused by the samba help file son my box. I'm trying to
smb mount a directory shared on a NT server. Now, I can make the mount
just fine, but it applies the uid and gid of root to all the
files..so...only root from my box can do anything. The documenation in
man pages say I can specify the uid and gid that samba will use for
this..but the actual programs won't accept these options.

smbmount -h and smbmnt -h both differ from their man pages
considerable..

Any idea how to make it so when I am on a samba mount all my files shown
as owned by a certain uid and gid?
