that has been my experience. i am currently in limbo, since my SOHO box is
a dell optiplex 180mhz PPro. Too slow and not enough RAM (only 64MB), so
anything i run in vmware runs slowly (lotsa paging), but nt seemed an order
of magnitude faster than win98. i am building a new machine before
year-end (for tax reasons). i am a little concerned about this mandrake
6.1 vs vmware issue. i have mandrake 6.0 and it works fine, but doesn't
(i've been told) support the AMD K7, which is want i want to run.
