Am I loony, or does Midgard not support PostgreSQL? I finally got
PostgreSQL figured out, and now it doesn't look like I can use it with
Midgard! I'm using Midgard, alone, for my PHP3 stuff... mod_php3 is not
installed. When I try to do a pg_connect() in my webpages I keep getting
errors about unknown command, yet the docs that come with Midgard (the PHP
docs) have PostgreSQL commands in them... I'm really confused... I've
spent too much time on this and it's getting frustrating!

Do I need to remove Midgard and use mod_php3? Or do I need to use mySQL
instead of PostgreSQL? I want my web pages to access a database so I can
store all my links in a database, but I'm having no luck doing it. Can I
have Midgard and mod_php3 running together and have it work with
PostgreSQL?

I have mySQL installed on here, but it looks really clumsy compared to
PostgreSQL... and someone should fix those init scripts so that they use
chkconfig... =) Or at least patch them for Mandrake so that they do.

What would be the easiest solution? I find PostgreSQL much easier to use
than mySQL, so I'd prefer to use pgsql. Should I remove midgard and put
mod_php3 on the system instead?

Help!
