Have you configured /etc/resolv.conf? Also, what kind of video card
and monitor do you have (specifically) and which X server are you
trying to use? You are aware, of course, that M6.1 has a whole new
version of XFree86, which has more video cards supported, so you may
want to make sure you're selecting the correct video card.
