Is the KDESU package installed on your system?
Try typing rpm -q kdesu at a console and see what you get coming back

(actually I've noticed that kdesu lets you run a window as root and not run
into the windows authority problem....I prefer that to the Xhosts solution
because its a fairly strong reminder of what I'm running as root)
