Hey

Im trying to install Mandrake 6.1 on my IBM thinkpad 370c. I have no
CD-rom-drive, but a PCMCIA network-card. So i thought i should use
bootnet.img and pcmcia.img to get started. But no such luck!

I inserted bootnet.img, and booted up. It asked if I had any
PCMCIA-devices, and I answered yes. Then it asked me to put in the
Mandrake PCMCIA supplemental disk (pcmcia.img, i think), so i did. But
it was not able to mount the floppy, and I didn't get any further with
the installation.

So I tried to boot directly from the pcmcia.img, boot I couldn't.

According to the installation-manual, there should be a image named
supp.img, but I can't find it anywhere!

I can mount the pcmcia.img-floppy on my other computer, as a ext2fs, so
the floppy is OK, and I now the floppydrive in my laptop is OK.

I know that a lot of other people has excactly the same problem (see
comp.os.linux.setup)

Any suggestion(s)?

/Morten Lund
