Fw: [expert] Sound - MP3 Plays Ok But Realaudio Causes Driver To Cease Function

Hi, I'm trying to figure out why the G2 Player can only play for a few seconds then 
goes silent and completely shut down any sound.
Playing MP3 files does not cause this to happen.

Compaq Presario Desktop with ESS1888 Soundcard using the $20 version of OSS.  Mandrake 
6.1.

Any suggestions or solution?
