Hi, I'm currently a BRU user, but I found BRU to be WAY TO SLOW .. taking Hours (4 to 8) to restore ONE file from a DDS3 DAT, it is NUTS. I see Arkiea uses tape index to speed up on file restore .. I may give it a try. But, I notice that KDE as a VERY nice interface for TAR .. KDat. Anyone can give me comments on how reliable KDat is, it looks VERY nice, use standard tar format and it`s free. I`m currently testing it to see how fast it is. A user looking for a simple but fast Backup system. Alain
