Telnet into your router and find out. If you do not have
telnet privileges/password for it, then you need to get
someone that has it to do it for you.
In many routers, snmp has to be enabled first, and then
the read and write communities set up.
In some routers, the read and write communities are
merged and the same community name applies to both. I do
not like this type of setup because the commonplace "public"
would be a big security hole.
YOu need to know all this about your router, and set it
up properly. If you have a common community name for
both read and write, better use a real good name, like
#RG^U%##FMY or something like that lest someone reconfigure
your router for you... :-(
