Hello,
I recently had this problem too. The only fix i found was to compile and
install a new kernel. The one i found with the driver that seemed "pretty
stable" was Development kernel 2.3.4. I currently has it running good
with Mandrake 6.1 Dual P2-450s, 4 harddrives and one cd-rom.
If anyone has any other ways to get this card to work please let me know.
The Driver Provided on Promises website only works with redhat 6.0 Kernel
2.2.5-15.
