[expert] using cooker floppy images w/ 6.1 cd?

Official mandrake support told me to use the cooker floppy images (since
the pcmcia ones that shipped on the 6.1 cd are broken).  When I use
the cooker ones, though, it tries to get 'mdkinst_stage2.gz' which
doesn't exist on the cd (stage2.img does).

Does anybody know if there is a way to get the cooker floppy images to
work with the files on the 6.1 cd?  I have yet to here back from
mandrake support and am getting impatient with mandrake in general.
