Total length for a single run of cat5 is 100m. Of course you have some
room to play in this number if you are not looking for an actual cat5
certification. Long runs parallel to flourescent lights may see
attenuation prior to 100m while long runs through warehouses away from
electrical interference may go 110 - 120m safely.
