I just read this and am wondering if there is a workaround? 

I just read the full "browser" section of the findings against M$ in the
DOJ vs MS. 

#174 Finds that MS coded W98 in such a way that Netscape users are
exposed to security risks and other issues previously associated only
with ActiveX and Internet Explorer.
