ctrl-c does skip past the dependency check, but the modules don't work. 
I tried to remove the module directory before I do make modules, but I
still have the same problem.  I don't know what to do with "EXTRAVERSION
=".  What do I do there?  Any other suggestions?  Also, one other
question.  When I compile the modules, it always compiles net modules,
regardless of the fact that I don't have any network modules configured
into my kernel (pretty much everything is in the kernel, but I can't get
sound to work without modules and sndconfig).  Why is this?  Thanks.
