I would want to understand how the ALIAS IP works.
Ma machine has one ethernetcard eth0 with 2 IP addresses.
I was running Mandrake 5.2 and everything worked fine with LinuxConf.
I switched to Mandrake 6.0 and even while LinuxConf confirmed my ALIAS was
detected, it did not function.
I resolved the problem creating manually a file
ifcfg-etho:0 in the path etc/sysconfig/network-scripts

Here is the translation. If the english is not *real* english sometimes, sorry
about that: neither french nor english is my mother tongue. But I can assure you
the translation is pretty much ok ;-)
I might try a translation to German, but that would end up with a lot of mistakes,
although readable.... ;-)
