Probably not. Kernel upgrades must be done if they fix some security
holes, in case those holes are relevant for you. If you run your computer
at home, and DO NOT HAVE A PERMANENT NETWORK CONNECTION, you
probably do not have to vorry too much about security problems, at least
not yet.
Another reason for an kernel upgrade would be support of some new hardware
- this does not bother you either, so there is probably no real reason for
the upgrade, other then curiosity.
