I have a question about a particular RPM that comes with Mandrake 6.1. What
dhcp client comes bundled on the ISO? I know the server is the ISC's
version ( http://www.isc.org ), but I can't figure out what the client is.
Specifically, my question is about the ability for the packaged dhcp client
to run external scripts after dhcp configuration. When/if my machine is
requested to change IP addresses by RoadRunner's DHCP server, I'd like the
client to re-run my firewall scripts so the ipaddress is current in my
ipchains rules.
Is this possible with the packaged DHCP client? Or, do I NEED to upgrade to
the ISC's clients as well?
