No.  I am using the new kernel-based nfs (knfs).  This limitation of knfs is
well documented.

At install time it knows and utilises KDE facilities.    At runtime it is
unaware of them, eg magic file type classification, single-clicking, the
claustrophobic use of MDI (even MS has long since dropped it) to limit you to
a single window without any reason for doing so.    The impression given is of
considerable technical backwardness.

Mandrake 6.1 on empty partition with 'everything' installed and the
Mandrake-forgotten nfsd enabled through SysVInit.   Local LAN of two
machines.  The Sun StarOffice CD obtained from Sun.
