I have problem configuring IP aliasing for ethernet device on Mandrake 6.1:
-- defining ip aliases, the linuxconf produces special config file
like /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0:0 and after activating the
changes
I see only primary IP for that interface!
-- looking into ifup-ipaliases (it is called from within linuxconf process),
I found that internally called `ifup' script has a bug - I discovered that
$DEVICE
variable is not initialized when starting ifup for IP aliases mode (e.g.,
ifup eth0:0).
Do you know about official patches for that "behaviour"?
