You must specify the uid and gid options when you mount the partitiom.
I did it with linuxconf, which might be more intuitive, but you can do it
with mount.

uid: <0 or an uid >
gid: <gid of the users' group>
perm: 2   (umask for 775 permissions)

There are other options you should take care of, but I don't remember(I am
writing this from W98 :) ). I think you will find them easily..

In all cases, I still have a warning about changing permissions when I
create files but it has no consequences. I eventually used the uid and gid
of nobody, not to bind the partition to a particular user. I don't know if
it is a good idea.
