AFAIK, the S3 Trio 3D is STILL not supported very well.
According to www.xfree86.org/cardlist.html, the 16-bit VGA
server is ALL that is supported on that card. You won't get
more than 256 colors. Period. My suggestion is to go get a
better video card, if you can afford it.
