[expert] X server startup errors

Hi everyone
I upgraded (and installed) a few of my Mandrake rpm,s  namely Qt from the
mandrake cooker last night in order to get some
downloaded stuff to work (gnucash, xacc etc.)
All seems to be working except when I check back in VC1 ( im running runlevel
5) after boot up
I see the following

/etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0: line 16: 569 Segmentation fault  /usr/bin/kdmdesktop

Everything works though
and both Xsetup_0 and kdmdesktop are unchanged from stock
suggestions please :-)
