I have set up an intranet server at work using Mandrake/Apache,
and it seems to work fine.

My question is: What is the best way to set the default file creation
permissions for users who use FTP to upload files to the server?
There will eventually be several users (not anonymous users, but
users with real accounts on the server) who will be maintaining
different sections of the web server.

They will be connecting to the server using Windows FTP clients.

Can I use some kind of "umask" command with FTP in Mandrake?
How about setting a default file permission in the users' dot files? (If
so, which files would I edit, and what would I put in them?)

Thanks for any help.
