I have an UDMA 66 HD as hda (w/ hda1 and hda2 for
Windoze, hda3 for storage for Linux) and an UDMA
33 HD (hdb) from which I boot Linux (Mandrake 6.0).
I gather that the Promise UDMA 66 controllers work
w/ Linux, but if I have a UDMA 33 (albeit on a
different IDE channel), will it be worth it get the
UDMA 66 controller? If I move my / partition over
to hda3 (keeping /boot on hdb1) does anyone have a
gauge of whether it is worth the $$ and hassle to
get the card? Also, is booting off of a drive
connected to an PCI IDE controller difficult?

Sorry not LM specific, but I respect the opinions
of the readership of this mailing list.

Thanks,
Chris
