Tere are work arounds for that you know..

Unknown, I don't own one and have heard nothing either good or bad on the
matter.

gcc-2.95.3, it's so you can compile with either via 
gcc -V

I don't know about anyone else but i was pretty sick of
uninstalling/installing them just to build something stuborn ;)
