(sorry if this is a duplicate, it's been a few days and haven't seen my
original show up on the list yet)

Hey all.

Finally got my dual P-200 system pieced together and having weird problems
installing v7.0. This will be my fourth installation attempt this evening.

Tyan motherboard, two Intel P-200 non-MMX processors, 80MB of RAM, 340MB
hard drive, two 21041-based Ethernet cards, PCI Diamond video card, VGA
monitor.

Downloaded the ISO image, burned the CD, made the floppy disk and the
install wouldn't work. Set the BIOS to boot from the CD and at least I can
run the installer. All I can say is WOW -- way cooler... if I had a mouse
and a half-decent monitor/video card. Took a little while to figure out how
to install it in text mode and then the ncurses installation version didn't
appear to be drawing text on the screen properly. Weird.

Despite having 2 PCI 21041 Ethernet cards, neither the new or old tulip
driver will detect the cards, which is something I *have* to overcome...

And in text mode, when you manually choose which packages to install, it
doesn't let you expand the various options to see exactly which programs
you're installing. Very odd.

So, so far I haven't had a lot of luck with v7.0... Any help would be
appreciated. Perhaps I should disable one of the CPU's and try installing it?

(in the end, I ended up borrowing a friend's serial mouse and installing a
6.4GB drive and getting LM 7.0 loaded, but what a hassle!!)

Thanks,
Ian
