Here is the situation:
At work I created:
Linux (RedHat 5.2) /w Kernel 2.2.12, Sendmail 8.9.3, Fetchmail 5.03, Bind 8.2.1 (I
know, I know, there are exploits-I think this machine has been a victim of a few), WU
IMAP/POP3 4.6beta on a Cyrix M2 PR-266MHz beast/ ALi chipset/ 64Megs of SDRAM, 4.3 Gig
HD/ 3Com509B. This machine's only function is to be an EMAIL Server/DNS Server,
nothing more.
In "Your" opinion, is it better to update the services?
(Download-Compile-Install==this is what I did 8 months ago.)
OR
upgrade to a newer Version of Linux (say like, AIR)?
If I upgrade, is there anything I need to watch out for during the upgrade process?
Many and all thanks,
Peter Verhagen
