Well, check your mail header. You will find majordomo has replaced sympa. The
unsubscribe function in sympa left somewhat to be desired. As the queues
emptied, the delays stretched back to the majordomo norm.

Next, Oxygen was a beta release, never a distro, and it should be expected to
be buggy. That is the purpose of a beta, to eliminate bugs with user
discovery. AIR is now out and it has quite a few bugs left, but of a more
minor nature. To complain about a buggy beta, though, is a non sequitur.
Realize also that we now have a full graphic install and an UPGRADE that works
in most cases without causing major problems. Perhaps you tried to Upgrade
Windows 95 to Windows 98 with their "upgrade" disaster? Or perhaps Win95 to
Win95 OSR2? Or perhaps RH 5.0 to 5.1? Most of the "bugs" revolve around
uninformed choices or different defaults with this system, from the messages I
see on this list and others. It is still not precisely ready for mainstream
desktop, but it is getting close.

I would have been happier as a user if AIR's release had been delayed just a
little longer, but then I am not part of the management of a company that is
charged with making money by distributing free software, so I am not going to
play a second-guessing game with them.
