Civileme....yep, my workaround works for me ;-) I guess if you
need to be able to write to the dos partition, there's still a
problem. Luckily I have no burning desire nor smoldering need
to do so. Nor do I have any need to access the partition with
SO. I guess that .directory write will have to be
removed/excluded from non-ext2 partitions, where it's use is
probably minimally useful anyway.
