[expert] My XServer died! Help Please!

I can no longer get my Linux box to boot xwindows.  I comes back with the
following error:

SVGA:XAA: Horizontal an vertical lines and segments_FontTransSocket UNIX
Connect: Can't connect: errno 111  failed to set default font path
'unix/:-1'

Fatal server error: Could not open default font 'fixed'

How do I fix this please?
