Some weeks ago, I posted to the list complaining that IP aliasing wouldn't work
in LM 6.1, even with the updated "initscripts" RPM installed.

I've since found out why - I'd reconfigured my kernel so that the driver for my
network card was compiled in, rather than having it as a loadable module. This
prevents the "modprobe" from working in the network startup scripts. I only
discovered this when I accidentally re-booted my machine with the original
2.2.13-22mdk kernel.

So - half an apology, Axalon. :-)

IP Aliasing *does* work, but not if it has to deal with speed freaks like me,
who try to optimise everything in sight! I'll go and hide back under my little
stone now, if that's alright with everyone....
