[expert] Anyone got VMWare running on LM 6.1 with AMD processors?

I have been battling with VMWare on a newly installed LM 6.1 box:

    - Gigabyte MB
    - 400 MHz AMD processor
    - 256 Mb RAM
    - ATI Mach64 Rage IIc graphics card
    - Accton PCI NIC (Tulip)

I get to the stage of installing an NT4 WS guest system and keep getting
"time/date" error messages and then a VMWare report bug message as I attempt
to start the install.

- Has anyone got VMWare going on something like my setup?
