I've just moved over to linux mandrake 7.0 from RedHat 6.1. One thing I
noticed that RedHat's version of gnome had was a control panel option to
auto play audio cds, auto unmount on pressing eject, auto mount a data cd
and bring up gmc, etc. Under mandrake it's not so. I tried downloading RH
6.1 SRPMS for gnome-core, gnome-media, and control-panel and recompiling
but didn't get these options. I even tried just using RH's RPMS instead
but no go. Anyone have any ideas on how to get these options back and
where they came from?

Also, on an unrelated note. Does the gcc that comes with mandrake default
to pentium optimizations or does egcs need to be installed for that?

Thanks!

Ti
