Hello!

I've installed Mandrake 7.0 linux and found there is FAKE
KERNEL 2.2.14! Actually, it is only 2.2.13 with several buggy patches
applied. For example, there is BIG problems with Intel EtherExpress Pro
100 network cards - some problems with "restarting transmitter". Also,
"mount" smbfs from fstab doesn't work. Also, it is unable to unmount
smbfs volumes at shutdown. Also, some sysinfo programs unable to get
swap-partition info.
When I removed Mandrake's fake 2.2.14 and installed REAL 2.2.14 with
several patches (Secure Linux patch, REISERFS patch, IDE patch) -
everything O'k now.

By some reason Mandrake decided to REMOVE irc2 from my old
installation. I don't know why, but it is so.
It is pity, but it seems to me Mandrake is going the same way that
Microsoft goes - users are stupid, so they can foolish them... :(
