Linux-Mandrake 6.1 with upgrades

My /dev/hdb drive went out last night.
I still have

/dev/hdc1             2.8G  2.6G  124M  95% /
/dev/hda1            1004M  988M   16M  98% /dosc
/dev/hda3             446M  435M     0 100% /morelinux
/dev/hdc3             2.9G  1.4G  1.3G  51% /homelinux

My lilo.conf is

boot=/dev/hdc1
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
linear
timeout=50
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.13-7mdk-cust1
        label=linux1
    root=/dev/hdc1
    read-only
append="aha152x=0x340,11,7"

I have to use boot disk to load.

I get these errors

home kernel: hdb: INVALID GEOMETRY: 255 PHYSICAL HEADS?
Feb  7 11:22:02 home modprobe: can't locate module ide-disk
Feb 7 11:22:02 home kernel: hdb: driver not present

Obviously with the missing Drive I will get some errors
but is there a way to have system working properly again.
If I try to access my internal lan connection or
I try to access "outside" from internal machine through
my previously working IPMASQ setup I get I get a
kernel panic.

Should I go ahead and install/reinstall?
Was hoping there might be a way around this.

Thanks
