This may be an inexpert question, but I'm having problems configuring the proxies to work in downloading the security stuff. I have a proxy server (astarte:8080) -- and indeed, using netscape on another machine, through the proxy, I can see the first site via ftp://. So I'm unclear as to what I'm doing wrong. I've switched over to the shell, verified the net was up and was able to ping the proxy server. Anyway -- it just sits there for about 5-10 minutes! (um, isn't that a pretty long timeout?) and comes back with Net::FTP connection timeout propagated up from <something>/ftp.pm Also there seems to be no way to go *back* and try a different proxy combo. I gave it '<ftp|http>://astarte.corp.sgi.com:8080'. Thanks, -linda
