i should probably check mandrakeuser.org but is that the howto from
camile? if not heres what i think your missing.

cp arch/i386/boot/bzImage /boot/vmlinuz-2.2.14
cp System.map /boot/System.map-2.2.14
# i forget where module-info comes from

and you should be ok
