Actually I believe this depends on your security settings (low, med, high). Try
setting it to med instead of high.
I suppose when you type "w" to see who's logged in, you don't see anyone
either? Both things were solved on my box by setting security to medium instead
of high. It screwed up my System V init script dirs (in which I've added some
extra stuff) though... It deleted all the items I'd added myself.
