Hi !

This message may be off-topic since it doesn't concern a Mandrake install.
If so ignore it if you feel like it.

I've been trying to get my internal ISDN TA to use the autodial function.
I've activated "isdnctrl dialmode ippp0 auto" and thought thet would do
the trick. I guessed wrong.

I'm running this on a RedHat 6.1 install and have discovered that the
defaultroute to my isdn ta dissapears after a hangup. I have added
"defaultroute" to the ipppd script without success. I tried sending a mail
to the isdn4linux mailinglist and was told to go RTFM (wich I've done long
before asking a question there) and the autodial feature seems to be very
badly documented. The only thing I've found is "isdnctrl dialmode ippp0
auto" where ippp0 is my interface name.

I am quite convinced that I'm not the only one who wants to use the
autodial feature of the isdn4linux utils and many have it running (I
guess).

If someone reading this, would kindly e-mail me their working setup
(including pap-secrets letting me hack around on your account >:-> ) I
would be very happy.
I really want my intrernet connection to be seamless...

BTW, the one time autodial works for me, I have connection errors ie:
if I try to ping 195.17.40.1, I get an error (sorry that I don't include
the error text here, but I'm not at my machine for the moment). If I break
that ping and try again the connection seems to work.

One again, I'd really like to get som useful help on this matter.

/Jocke!
