I have installed 7.0-2 21 times on 17 different machines. Two of them gave me
that message. One of those two had a defective CDROM drive which I verified by
repeating the error with that CDROM mounted in a machine which had already done
a good install.

The other was when I had chosen an upgrade and /usr was short on space for
packages to be included in the .

The one weakness I have found actually due to Mandrake programming and not
xfree.org was to overlap disk partitions in certain circumstances, principally
expanding an existing partition to the maximum available made free by deleting
another partition.

I will say 7.0 is a wonderful tool to locate defective hardware, but then
that's just the way I want it, demanding software that will work with proper
hardware all the time, not mushy slop that will work with intermittently
effective hardware some of the time.
