Okay, I amone of those lame SOBs who gets a kick out of turning a $1000
computer into a $3 alarm clock, so I was amazed when VigMeUp didn't shock me
out of bed yesterday with the most annoying mp3 I could find.

Everything was going--VigMeUp reported "playing" and no xmms came up.

Neither did kmp3 nor kmpg...

OK I went to the site, DLed the Source and tried a ./config, make, make
install....

Bombed on the make..... A BUNCH of header files were missing.

I grabbed the SuSE rpm there and opened it in Kpackage--libjpeg.so.6 missing

I ran Kpackage without any file and DEPENDENCIES UNRESOLVED were reported.

I rpmed the old compatibility lib for jpeg from a 6.1 install disk... It
took it, and things started working.

The problem appears to be that libjpeg-6a-* .rpm just isn't on the Air distro,
and good luck getting VigMeUp to work without it.

Yet somehow the install proceeded leaving unresolved dependencies.... curious
in itself. Call it a minor packaging error? Correct my thinking, please.
