If I wanted to find a way to do some pretty high-end game-type graphics for
linux, what support tools are there out for linux? What I'll need is something
that has OpenGL support and can do widgets and UI pretty well. Not sure if
running under X would be the best thing (due to performance issues) or ?
I have worked with X programming before, but it's been a number of years and
I'm sure the toolkits have advanced beyond using Athena widgets.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start researching appropriate
graphics toolkits?
