I don't seem to have this. What do you mean by "use the ttf-package"
on the CD? You mean the font collection? What does mkttfdir do
exactly? Does it only make the fonts.dir?
But, I fixed it now. I even wrote a kind of HOW-TO, just in case
anyone has the same complications as I did.
I have already done what everyone else suggested before I wrote here,
but after I ran "chkfontpath --add /usr/share/fonts/truetype" it
seemed to have changed the default font dir as well, because after
that X would not start, it complained about not being able to find the
default font. Anyway, I've written down everything I did, and I think
I will put it on my website. Just in case nothing else works.
