I've recently upgraded my installation. While I was attempting to clean
up the RPM Database, I noticed that the (rpm -Va) command indicated that
several libraries were missing. The output looked like this:

missing /lib/libform.so.1
missing /lib/libform.so.1.9.9e
missing /lib/libform.so.3
missing /lib/libform.so.3.0
missing /lib/libform.so.4
missing /lib/libform.so.4.2
missing /lib/libmenu.so.1
missing /lib/libmenu.so.1.9.9e
missing /lib/libmenu.so.3
missing /lib/libmenu.so.3.0
missing /lib/libmenu.so.4
missing /lib/libmenu.so.4.2
missing /lib/libpanel.so.1
missing /lib/libpanel.so.1.9.9e
missing /lib/libpanel.so.3
missing /lib/libpanel.so.3.0
missing /lib/libpanel.so.4
missing /lib/libpanel.so.4.2

Well, I took what I thought was the correct approach and used the rpm
-qf /lib/libform.so.1 and found that the ncurses rpm had not been
updated.

SO I updated the package using the familiar 'rpm -Uvh' command. The
problem persists! Not only that, but the current package has nothing to
do with the /lib/libform.so.1 file, which is still being reported as
missing.

What's wrong here? How can I utilize the RPM command set to determine
what files are missing or outdated?
